Best forest trails in Liebenau

Country-connecting eco trail between Lamerden, Körbecke and Ostheim This circular hiking trail leads over the ridges and through the Diemel valley. Archaeological highlights can be discovered again and again along the entire route. The hike also takes you through idyllic beech forests where colourful spring flowers meander along the route.

The tour starts in Niedermeister, you follow the Warme to Zwergen and then walk across fields and through woods in an arc back to Niedermeister. In Zwergen you can visit the historic church. You should allow around 2.5 to 3 hours for this tour.

Popular running event in the Reinhardswald Nature Park, Hesse. This is the course of the long distance (18 km) of the 8th Niedermeiserer Dorflauf. The 9 km long loop is run twice.
