Best historic site trails in Glashütten

From the Weilsberg car park, the trail first leads to the Kleiner Feldberg. From there, continue via Grüner Weg, Dornsweg and Waldglasweg to the Großer Zacken viewpoint. The Zacken is a rock formation that is a favourite training spot for mountaineers in particular. There are 13 climbing routes there, which correspond to difficulty levels of 3-6 according to the German Alpine Association. Finally, the fourth highest peak in the Taunus, the Weilsberg, is reached.

Popular quality hiking trail in the Taunus Nature Park, Hesse. The Hochtaunus Limes adventure trail follows the course of the Limes hiking trail and the Limes cycle path and runs from Glashütten to Ober-Mörlen. It runs along the Limes adventure trail through the Hochtaunus region. Along the way, the route will pass the Saalburg, which is the only reconstructed Roman fort on the Limes. There are also several other watchtowers and small forts and, of course, the Limes itself along the way....

Circular route via historic roads and visits to medieval glass furnaces Technically undemanding route with inclines. The section at the Red Cross (before the Hünerweg) is very steep - push! The Hünerweg, Rennstraße and the old Poststraße before the Tenne are historic roads. On the way back, just before Glashütten, the very short detour to the remains of late medieval glass furnaces is worthwhile.

A beautiful loop along the eastern section of the Chaffinch Trail. Agriculture has left its mark on the area; nevertheless, you walk through a charming landscape. The route is signposted for the most part and there are information boards providing information about the history of the area. The route is not suitable for bicycles and can be quite muddy in wet weather.

Charming tour through the Emsbach valley, Hesse. Starting in Glashütten, the route takes visitors to the Oberes Emsbachtal nature reserve. Most of the hike runs through the beautiful high forests of the Hochtaunus up to Oberems. On the way back, the trail climbs a good way uphill through the nature reserve along the Emsbach stream until you come across the remains of the Emsbachschlucht forest glassworks.
