A long stage is ahead, but if necessary a stopover can be made in Eschenlohe. From the Herzogstand you descend on the western side to Heimgarten. Some places require sure-footedness and a head for heights and are partially secured with wire ropes. After the descent into the Loisachtal, the ascent begins via the Hohe Kisten to the Weilheimer Hütte.
