Best moderate trails in Ettal

The route suggested here explores the castle park in the immediate vicinity of the castle, which was built in the 19th century. After the previous long stage, this one from Linderhof to Kenzenhütte is now rather short and invites you to linger, rest and unwind. Along the Sägertalbach it goes steadily uphill to the Bäckenalm. From there it gets steep and you climb the 1,536m high Bäckenalmsattel. On the west side, the path leads downhill over alpine pastures to the Kenzenhütte.
