The route leads over the following 5 climbs: Wittlinger Steige from Seeburg, Alte Oberlenninger Steige (car-free), Rote Steige (Boßler), Eselhöfe (Mühlhausen), Neue Steige (Gosbach). Two recommended places to stop for refreshments are either the Deutsches Haus between Weilheim and Gruibingen or the Otto-Hoffmeister Haus after Krebsstein.
