Family-friendly Geratal nature park circular route with beautiful views, Thuringia.
This beautiful themed route is suitable for the whole family due to its short length and four-legged friends are also welcome. The start is at the Steintreppchen hiking car park. The route heads in a south-westerly direction to the shell limestone elevations of the Weißer Stein. As the tour is very popular, other visitors may be encountered - in which case dogs should be kept on a lead. The forest nature trail can be accessed past a new plantation of 28 different tree species, which now form a small forest. Later, a narrow path leads up to the Kammberg, from where wonderful views of the picturesque landscape can be enjoyed.
Although it is not possible to stop for refreshments directly on the route, it is possible to do so in nearby Geschwenda and Gräfenroda.
