Neritz - Sülfeld

This loop connects the villages of Neritz and Sülfeld, traversing the agricultural landscape of the Segeberg and Stormarn border region. The route typically follows paved country roads and firm asphalt cycle paths, providing a smooth and accessible surface for walking or cycling. Hikers can observe the transition from open farmland to the historic village center of Sülfeld, which is distinguished by its 17th-century fieldstone church. The terrain is predominantly flat, offering unobstructed views across the surrounding fields and hedgerows. Due to the exposed nature of the path, wind is a common weather factor in this open area. The locality is also associated with a recurring community running event known as the Meilenlauf. Comfortable walking shoes or road running footwear are generally suitable for these hard surfaces.
