After crossing it, the route continues into the town centre, past the beautifully landscaped Heikendorf Waterway Park and the town hall, before circling the town to the south through the wooded area by the mill pond. The route then heads back to the shore and along this to the marina and on to the Möltenort submarine memorial, near which the start and end points are located. There are plenty of places to stop for refreshments along the way. In good weather, several beautiful beaches invite you to take a break and refresh yourself in the cool water.
