This route is a real cycling marathon and follows the 230-kilometre course of the "ErzTaler" event. This is a pure endurance challenge, not a technical one. The difficulty is based solely on the extreme distance combined with a considerable elevation gain of around 3,300 metres. The completely asphalted, non-technical route leads through the beautiful, hilly landscape of the Ore Mountains and Saxon Switzerland and requires an all-day effort as well as excellent cardiovascular fitness.
