90km ERZTALER Offroad (MTB)

Official route of the CTF. This daunting route through the rugged Ore Mountains is an epic, technically straightforward test of endurance that follows the challenging 90-kilometre course for mountain bikers. The route utilises a network of forest roads and challenging singletracks, overcomes considerable differences in altitude and leads deep into the historic forests of Saxony. The region is internationally recognised for its deep-rooted mining history and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site Ore Mountains/Krušnohoří Mining Region. The route offers breathtaking views, including views of the Fichtelberg, the highest peak at 1,215 metres (3,986 feet). Successfully completing this traverse requires a high level of fitness, precise planning and the determination to cover a monumental distance in one go or over several days.
