This circular trail follows the route of the Dresden Winter Tour sports hike "Through Karswald, Hüttertal and Dresdner Heide". The hike starts in Weißig and continues over the Hutberg and along the Ullersdorf golf course. The trail leads along meadows and fields to the Wallroda dam and on over the Silberberg. The last section of the route leads through the Dresdner Heide: the name is somewhat misleading, as the route mainly passes through mixed forests and along dune-like sand deposits formed during the Saale and Elster glacial periods.
