Stage 1 of the long-distance hiking trail "Selketal-Stieg", Saxony-Anhalt.
This is the first stage of the varied and beginner-friendly Selketal-Stieg trail, which runs for around 70 kilometres through the beautiful Harz mountains between Stiege and Quedlinburg.
The first stage starts in Stiege and ends in Alexisbad. You can enjoy the Upper Selke Valley nature reserve, a mountain lake and numerous relics of mining in the Harz Mountains.
There are overnight accommodation and refreshment stops. The route can be reached by bus and train.
