MTB Tour: Brocken to Braunlage

Popular and varied mountain bike route in the Harz National Park, Saxony-Anhalt. This demanding MTB route begins at the summit of the Brocken and leads down to Braunlage on varied trails. It goes to the Eckertalsperre, past moors and streams and through wild and romantic forests. A notice: Right at the beginning it gets very steep in places and if you drive carelessly you can reach a very high speed. Good brakes and considerate riding style are a must. The national park administration points out that hikers are to be given priority and that the speed should be reduced when passing them.
