Charming circular trail in the Palatinate Nature Park, Rhineland-Palatinate.
This beautiful circular route connects the Kaltenbrunner Hütte with the Hohe-Loog-Haus (hiking hut of the Neustadt-Hambach PWV), both huts where you can enjoy good Palatinate cuisine at a reasonable price (note opening times).
The route starts at the Kaltenbrunner Hütte car park and leads uphill along beautiful forest paths to the Hohe Loog Haus. From there it goes downhill past the Kühnungerquelle spring back towards the car park.
