This tour takes you into the beautiful Wiedtal valley, which lies in the centre of the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park between the Westerwald-Steig and Rheinsteig trails. The start is in Roßbach. The climatic health resort is also known as the "Pearl on the Wied". You first make a detour to Arnsau and then return to Roßbach. Then head south on the Wiedtalstraße to Waldbreitbach. Cross the river and follow it to the southern tip of Waldbreitbach. Enter the forest and return on the other side of the river. Shortly before Roßbach, you will see the quarry stone building of Walburg Castle, which is now the headquarters of a company. If you want something to eat along the way, you will find what you are looking for in Lache and Waldbreitbach.
