The WeinWetterWeg in Hatzport leads along many sections of the Hatzenporter Laysteig dream trail. However, there are 3 very beautiful climbing trails here (the Rabenlay climbing trail is the most difficult of all). On this track there is a detour to the Kreuzlay, which is not normally on the WeinWetterWeg trail. This diversions is approx. 2km long and can be omitted (see route). The route leads through vineyards and does not offer much shade. On a hot day like today, it is therefore important to take enough drinks with you. There is a pub in Lasserg which offers a shady spot and cool drinks. In Hatzenport itself, there are numerous pubs on the banks of the Moselle that invite you to take a break.
