Stage 27 of the Saar-Hunsrück Climb, Rhineland-Palatinate.
This is the twenty-seventh stage of the Saar-Hunsrück Climb. The popular long-distance hiking trail between Perl on the Moselle and Boppard on the Rhine has been certified with the German Hiking Seal.
This section starts in the wine village of Kasel and the hike ends after around 16 kilometres at Trimmelter Hof near Trier. From the destination of the hike, it is worth taking a bus to Trier and spending a day visiting the numerous historical buildings of the former Roman imperial residence, some of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
