The starting point is at the pilgrimage chapel in Verscheid. From there, first enter the forest to Bärenkopf (304 m) and then head north on a narrow forest path until the trees thin out and you reach the fields near Hochscheid. The route continues westwards in an arc around the village until it reaches the idyllic forest area around the Dasbach stream. Following the green banks of the stream, you repeatedly come across fairytale-like clearings. A short ascent in the forest then leads back to the starting point. There are refreshment stops in Hochscheid. There are buses, but accessibility by train is poor.
