Reichenbach, Napoleonsteig, and Dickenbergwand Loop

Adventurous hike in the Palatinate Forest near Reichenbach, Rhineland-Palatinate. This hike can be reached by bus and train (Busenberg-Schindhard railway station). For those travelling by car, there are parking facilities at the starting point. There are also refreshment stops in Reichenbach. The route is therefore ideal as a day trip from Mannheim and Heidelberg. The hiking trail starts at the railway station in Reichenbach. The hike is largely flat in a southerly direction and then ascends in a westerly direction to the Kaiserslauterer Hütte, among other places. The route then heads north past the Dickenbergwand and ends at the starting point. The route includes three moderate ascents, so good footwear is required.
