Stage 8 of the long-distance hiking trail "Pfälzer Waldpfad", Rhineland-Palatinate.
This is the eighth stage of the certified "Pfälzer Waldpfad" quality trail, which leads from Kaiserslautern to the German Wine Gate in Schweigen-Rechtenbach through the Palatinate Forest. Shortly after the start in Dahn, the first impressive rock massif awaits with the Hochstein. The hike is characterised by numerous impressive rock formations and equally impressive castle ruins. There are overnight accommodation and refreshment stops in Erlenbach. You can also take a bus to one of the neighbouring villages or back to the starting point.
