Baumgeister-Tour

Adventurous, certified circular route in the low mountain range, Rhineland-Palatinate. The circular route was not awarded by the German Hiking Association for nothing: the impressive gorge, magnificent views of the Rhine and the Villa Rustica are just a few of the sights on this hike. It starts at the Jägerhaus and then follows a small creek through the Steckeschlääferklamm, where numerous tree spirit sculptures have been carved and painted into the trees. Along the edge of the slope and through the Bingen Forest, a very beautiful panorama soon reveals itself with a view over the Rhine, over an adventurous suspension bridge. In the next section along the Rhine Valley there are numerous other views over the river. An old donkey trail then leads to the old Rheinstein Castle, which can be visited for a small fee. The hike is marked with the red "Rundtour" sign of the Rhein-Burgen-Weg. Highlights of the hike: - Rheinstein Castle - Steckeschlääferklamm - Villa Rustica
