Stage 2 of the long-distance hiking trail "Pfälzer Waldpfad", Rhineland-Palatinate.
This is the second stage of the certified quality trail "Pfälzer Waldpfad", which leads from Kaiserslautern to the German Wine Gate in Schweigen-Rechtenbach once through the Palatinate Forest.
The fairly short but varied hike begins at the Naturfreundehaus Finsterbrunnertal and ends at the hamlet of Johanniskreuz. Following the course of the Moosalbe, you soon reach the Karlstal Gorge, one of the most beautiful and most photographed hiking destinations in the Palatinate Forest. At the stage destination of Johanniskreuz, there is the opportunity to stay overnight and stop for refreshments.
