The start of this almost 17 km circular hike is the bus stop "Fischbach, Brenzel" (alternatively: Frankenstein railway station). Two castle ruins await you along the way: Diemerstein Castle, probably built in the early 13th century, and Frankenstein Castle, built in the first half of the 12th century. As there is a lot of uphill and downhill walking, sturdy shoes are highly recommended.
