Durch die Briederner Schweiz nach Mesernich

Interesting nature excursion in Rhineland-Palatinate. We head to Briedern Switzerland on the beautiful Moselle. Start at the Moselle country inn. We walk along the green banks and then head westwards just before the motorhome parking area, where we come across some vineyards and a guest house. The start of the circular route is still very leisurely. The route continues via Schellenberg and Waldeslust to the Moselle village of Beilstein. Here, after a steep climb, the famous Metternich castle ruins await you, surrounded by marvellous vineyards. Later, the route follows a narrow path through the rocky, wooded escarpment that connects the villages of Beilstein and Briedern. Back on the banks of the Moselle, you return to the starting point feeling relaxed and refreshed.
