The trail starts at the tourist information centre, very close to the Bernkastel bus stop and the car parks on the banks of the Moselle. The Kreuzweg leads steadily uphill to the viewpoint at St Anne's Chapel. The highest point of the hike is Mount Olympus with its benches - perfect for a short break.
It is possible to stop off at Landshut Castle, whose oldest walls date back to the 4th century. After the hike, it's definitely worth strolling around the town centre - more historical sights, charming buildings and cafés await here.
