Charming hiking tour with great views in the Siebengebirge nature park, North Rhine-Westphalia.
This is an excellent trail with lots of shade and beautiful views of the Rhine and the surrounding area. From the hiking car park "Dicker Stein," it goes through the hilly landscape of the Siebengebirge. In addition to beautiful nature, there are some historical highlights along the way, such as Drachenfels Castle, Drachenburg Castle, Hirschburg Castle, and the Rosenau Castle ruins. An excellent place to stop is the Rheinterassen restaurant, with a beautiful view of the inn (note opening hours).
The paths are often quite broad and well-signposted. Some steep climbs are to be expected.
