Siebengebirgstour: Königswinter - Petersberg - Nachtigallental

The varied circuit in the Siebengebirge, North Rhine-Westphalia. This route leads through the beautiful and varied Siebengebirge. Particular highlights are the Königswinter, the Petersberg, the Ölberg, and the Nachtigallental. The hike can be started with a ferry crossing over the Rhine or directly on the home side at the ferry port, where there are also parking spaces. It also goes to the legendary Drachenfels, the most famous mountain in the Siebengebirge. The varied volcanic landscape is an ensemble of wooded mountain peaks that rise in a picturesque location on the right bank of the Rhine on the demolition line from Westerwald to Lower Rhine Bay. The Siebengebirge is a beech forest area. Many of the forests have been preserved as high forests, and the far-reaching views make the circular hike so appealing. The hilly landscape can be hiked even better with a certain fitness level and sturdy shoes. There are places to stop for refreshments along the route.
