This is the sixth stage of the varied WestfalenWanderWeg, which runs for 216 kilometres from Hattingen through the southern Ruhr region, the Paderborn region and the foothills of the Sauerland to Altenbeken in the Teutoburg Forest/Eggegebirge Nature Park.
The sixth stage begins in Wickede (Ruhr) and ends in Möhnesee. You hike through the beautiful Oevinghauser forest, extensive fields and finally reach the Möhne dam. You can also enjoy some fantastic views of the mountain ranges of the Arnsberg Forest and the Soester Börde. There are overnight accommodation and refreshment stops along the way.
