Beautiful section of the "Wald-Wasser-Wildnis-Weg" ("Forest-Water-Wilderness Trail") in the Eifel National Park, North Rhine-Westphalia.
This idyllic hike fully lives up to its name! It leads along the Rur river and Urft lake and across the marvellous expanses of the Dreiborn plateau. Great views of the river landscape and the bends of the Urft and Urftsee lake await.
The start is at the "Am Rurseezentrum" car park. There are also public bathrooms here. Along the way, but also at the start and finish, it is possible to stop off at restaurants and inns.
