Stage 5 of the long-distance hiking trail "Römerkanal-Wanderweg", North Rhine-Westphalia.
This is the fifth stage of the varied, approximately 115 km long Roman Canal Trail, which follows the course of a canal constructed by the Romans in the 1st century from Nettersheim through the High Fens-Eifel Nature Park to Sülz.
The starting point of the fifth stage is in Rheinbach and the section ends in Brenig. You pass some very pretty villages as well as castle ruins and relics of Roman architecture.
There are places to stay overnight and stop for refreshments. The route can be reached by bus and train.
