The Pivikter Wasserweg is a certified quality trail to the west of Detmold. Following the course of the famous Hermannsweg trail in sections, you hike past idyllic bodies of water such as the Donopter Teich, the Eisenhaltige Quelle, the Krebsteich and the mystical moorland of the Hiddeser Bent. The landscapes characterised by romantic waters and moors are strictly protected, which is why many rare animal and plant species can be observed here.
Accessible by bus and train (line 701 from Detmold railway station to the "Schwarzenbrink" stop, from there follow the signs to the Hasselbach reservoir). There are places to stop for refreshments.
