Varied cycle tour near Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia
This circular tour starts at Brühl railway station / Augustusburg Castle (accessible by bus and train), from where you cycle out of town in the direction of Berzdorf. At the K7 Otto Wels Str. junction, turn right and after approx. 300 metres keep left in the direction of the Falkenlust hunting lodge (cobblestones). The route continues past Entenfang (two playgrounds and a lake), through Wesseling to the Rhine, before continuing along the towpath to Bonn city centre. From here, you follow the Regio-Grün-Weg via the vegetable fields back to Brühl. Overall, a fairly flat route with short climbs in Dransdorf towards Alfter. There are refreshment stops along the way.
