Idyllic nature trail in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The start is near Sternberg, not far from the Warnow and Mildenitz breakthrough valley in the nature reserve of the same name. Ahead of the hiker lies a 2 1/2-hour route through the marvellous Sternberg lake landscape. Initially, the Warnow is still a narrow river before it becomes a larger river at Klein-Raden, which eventually leads into the Unterwarnow. The route continues through the village of Klein-Raden, always northwards through the beautiful countryside and past the natural village of Eickhof. The return journey begins on the bridge over the Warnow, always on the village road, which is surrounded by trees and provides cool shade, as does the forest through which it continues.

The Eickhof nature village can be used as a holiday camp and rest stop. There is a riding centre and canoe hire. The main aim of the centre is to introduce children to nature and show them how worthy it is of protection.
