The best place to start and finish is at the Europahaus in Dümmer. First briefly on tarmac, then turn right along a country lane and through a small residential area into the forest. From here, the route continues along beautiful forest paths to Walsmühlen, where it follows a cycle path for approx. 100 metres. Then cross the road and enter the forest again. After leaving the forest, you come back to Dümmer. Turn right through the village for approx. 300 metres, then left to the lake. Continue along the lake to the Perlin campsite. From here, the route follows the tarmac road to the village of Perlin. Turn off there just before the church, through a park into the fields to the forest. You cross the forest on beautiful paths and reach the holiday village of Dümmer See. Turn left here and then continue along the lake back to the Europahaus.
