Stage 5 of the Emsland Route.
The last section of the Emsland Route starts in Haselünne. There is a lot to see both in the historic old town centre and in the Haselünne surrounding area: for example, the largest continuous juniper grove in northern Germany, the Haselünner Kuhweide. The route continues via Lengerich, where the Ramingsmühle mill is not to be missed, and the Saller See recreational area to the Landhaus-Brauerei Borchert brewery, which offers tours of its "flavour workshop" as well as its special seasonal beers. From here, it's not far back to the starting point and final destination of Rheine.
Highlights:
- Haselünne: St Vincentius hall church, Clarissan monastery, Burgmannshöfe in Ritterstraße
- Ramingsmühle mill in Lengerich
- Borchert country brewery
