Challenging circular trail in the Frau-Holle-Land Geo-Nature Park, Hesse
This route is a certified premium hiking trail.
After the start in Waldkappeln, the route takes you up and down on challenging, pathy hiking trails, with marvellous panoramic views of the surrounding area, characterised by half-timbered houses, field hedges and forest edges, opening up again and again from the hilly areas. You hike over the Ziegenküppel on a mountain ridge made of Zechstein limestone, then the challenging hike shifts back into shady forests.
There is a refreshment stop as well as idyllic rest areas along the route where you can enjoy a picnic and the view. Accessible by bus and train.
