Nine Lakes CTF – Marathon Route

9 CTF Country Cup Germany. Official route. This epic, all-day cycling challenge focuses on extreme endurance amidst the hilly landscape of Wetterau in Hesse. The route follows the longest distance offered at the popular "Neun Seen CTF" (Cross-Country Touristik Fahrt). It was developed to put the fitness of dedicated cyclists to the test over almost 100 kilometres. The route is characterised by fast forest paths, asphalt roads and compact gravel. The challenge therefore lies in the pure distance, the riding time and the cumulative metres in altitude rather than the technical difficulty. The tour uniquely passes nine former open-cast lignite mining lakes, which have been transformed into a picturesque lake landscape and now provide a striking backdrop for this demanding long-distance route.
