RSV Oppershofen Radmarathon – 222er Strecke

Official route of the cycle marathon. This RSV Oppershofen Cycling Marathon is an epic and extremely difficult endurance test that is considered one of the toughest one-day challenges in Hesse. The 222-kilometre route has an extremely demanding profile and climbs well over 3,000 cumulative metres in altitude, spread over the well-known Taunus and Vogelsberg low mountain ranges. Cyclists need to be in top physical condition and have good cycling technique to master the constant, steep climbs and the winding, sometimes technically demanding descents. This challenging tour offers spectacular views of the wooded Hessian heights and is only recommended for experienced and very well-trained racing cyclists.
