From Limburg, the route goes past Diez Castle. The Lahn valley narrows, often with steep rocky slopes, and the cycle path narrows. A short detour can be made via the Lahn to Balduinstein to the castle. This is followed by a particularly scenic section to Geilnau. The path leads over a country road without a cycle path with a three-kilometer-long incline (approx. 200 meters) to Holzappel. After that, it is just as steep downhill. The next climb leads up to Arnstein Abbey, where members of an orthodox order live. Coffee and cake are available in the monastery café for a donation. Passing Nassau and Dausenau, the trail reaches the state baths in Bad Ems. After a short tour past the Römerquelle, the Kurhaus, the casino, the old town hall, and the spring tower, it continues past Lahneck Castle to Lahnstein. Finally, the route goes through Lahnstein (worth seeing the old city wall with the witch tower and the old town hall) and through Ehrenbreitstein to Koblenz.
