This classic 155-kilometre route is a memorial RTF (cycle tour) in honour of Heinz Leipert and is considered a tough endurance test at the start of the season. The great challenge lies in the distance in combination with the considerable ascent. The route leads over steep and winding roads through two Hessian low mountain ranges: the Vogelsberg and the Kellerwald. This is an all-day challenge on tarmac that requires excellent physical condition and experience with demanding, repeated climbs in the centre of Hesse.
