The cycle path between the railway station in Neustadt(Hessen) and Niederaula leads right through fairytale Red Riding Hood country in northern Hesse. The Brothers Grimm collected their fairy tales here and in other places in the region. Fairytale fans should plan a stop at the Fairytale House in the old town centre of Neukirchen or at the house of the Grimms' grandfather in Weißenborn.
The route leads through idyllic meadow valleys and forests and under old railway bridges. There are always great views of the landscape along the way. Historic railway buildings, railway bridges and works of art along the way make the route special. The route runs along the old railway line with gentle inclines. Small villages and towns are passed again and again.
