This circular route leads to many of the most popular hiking destinations in the Taunus. From the train station in Koenigstein im Taunus, you first hike quite continuously uphill to the Altkoenig. The third highest mountain in the Taunus is not only known for its beautiful views, but also for its Celtic ring wall. You continue to the second highest mountain in the Taunus, the 825 m above sea level high small Feldberg. On the way back, you hike through the protected Burghain Falkenstein, where you can explore the ruins of Falkenstein Castle (14th century).
