This route leads across the natural island of Ziegenwerder, which is located between the Old and New Oder. It starts at the Europa University building, which is also served by public transport. After crossing a small bridge, you are already on the island, with its natural little bays and special vegetation. There is a public playground and sports field on the island, which invites you to exercise in good weather. We strongly advise against swimming in the Oder, as the current can be dangerous. In one direction, the island is crossed via small paths, before the return journey follows well-maintained paths.
