Frankfurt - Owczary/Polen

Route: Frankfurt (Oder) town hall - border bridge - Slubice roundabout - northern Oder dyke - Nowy Lubusz - rest area and memorial stone near Lebus - dyke path - Owczary with meadow museum and bar - Plawidlo community - Slubice bazaar - Frankfurt (Oder) border bridge The small village of Owczary lies north of the district town of Slubice on the country road to Küstrin. The village is attractive because of the meadow museum (Museum Laki), which is unique in Poland and is located directly on the road to Küstrin. A small pub (bar) awaits guests to the south of the museum. There is a stone on the square in front of the meadow museum, which is part of the tourist "Stone Route along the Warthebruch". The tour is suitable for almost all types of cyclists. In view of the often sandy paths and a longer concrete stone route, a certain robustness and composure is expected of cyclists. From the rest area near Lebus, the embankment path next to the dyke should be used. At the top of the dyke ridge there is unfortunately no developed path. Only shortly before turning off towards Owczary can you cycle along a concrete path on the dyke.
