• Full trail closure: Due to the outbreak of African swine fever amongst wild boar in a section of the Lower Oder Valley National Park, access to this area has been restricted since 11 July 2026 and is expected to remain so until 30 July 2027.

This cycle tour is a great tour that starts at the car park of the Lower Oder Valley National Park in Criewen. From here, you cycle along the Märkischer Landweg through the Lower Oder Valley National Park to Stützkow. On the way, you will pass the Spring Experience Trail, a small circular route with several information boards. From the top of the hill (marked with a viewing bench) you have a great view far into the Lower Oder Valley. Now you cross a bridge over the Hohensaaten-Friedrichsthal waterway and return to the dam. Here you are on the Uckermärk cycle route and still have a great view into the Lower Oder Valley. If you wish, you can shorten the hike at Criewen and cross the bridge again. You can stay on the embankment and walk or cycle approx. 2.5 km further to Zützen. There are a few benches and rest areas along the way, but they are quite far apart.
