Tour description:
Opposite the Altkünkendorf church in the information point for the Grumsin Beech Forest World Heritage Site, a small exhibition provides information about the biological diversity in Grumsin. The circular hiking trail, marked by a yellow beech leaf, begins there and initially leads westwards along the road. It turns left at the crossroads and reaches the forest after a few hundred metres. Through the ups and downs of the glacial landscape, the trail passes forest lakes and kettle bogs. At the edge of the path you can still see traces of the stone cutters in the form of hewn stones or chippings.
