The route leads from Rheinsberg railway station southwards out of the town into a beautiful wooded area. After a little more than halfway along the trail, a clearing opens up. There you will find one of Rheinsberg's two lighthouses, the Wartturm, which was built on the same site as Rheinsberg Castle and has a fortified structure. After a stretch on the surrounding country lanes, you return to the town centre. There are places to stop for refreshments in Rheinsberg.
