Fontaneradweg - Tagestour 1 - Rheinsberg <> Molchow

The circular tour leads from Rheinsberg along glittering lakes in the Ruppiner Seenland. The day tour with the green FONTANE.RAD symbol first leads to Kalksee and then to Tornowsee, where the Boltenmühle is located. Theodor Fontane already mentioned the mill, which now houses a café. Binenwalde can also be reached on this section via a detour. This is followed by Lake Zermützelsee and the village of Stendenitz with its 100-year-old forest tavern and beer garden right on the shore of the lake. In the next village, Molchow, Fontane described the wooden bell tower in the centre of the village - he was interested in the history behind it. From here, day trip 1 runs along the main route of the FONTANE.RAD route with a yellow licence plate via Zippelsförde with its large fish farm back to Rheinsberg. A printed tour guide and a cycle map of the entire FONTANE.RAD route are available free of charge at the local tourist information centres, while information boards provide details about individual Fontane locations. The route can be reached by bus and train.
