The route leads from Kieselwitz in the east of the Schlaubetal nature reserve to the Kieselwitz mill, which was first mentioned in a document in 1420. The mill has an impressive history, and the surrounding ponds have been used for fish farming for a long time - and still are today. The trail then continues along the Schlaube river to the Schlaubemühle mill, which also has an interesting history. Today it houses a nature conservation information centre. The route continues along forest and then field paths back to Kieselwitz. There are refreshment stops in the village.
