Beautiful, picturesque circular walk in Spandau, Berlin.
Here you walk through two nature reserves - the Tiefwerderwiesen, the Murellenberge, the Murellenschlucht and the Schanzenwald. The trail takes you through a landscape shaped by the Ice Age and a wetland area. There is plenty of nature but also history to see, such as historic shooting ranges and the forest theatre. The National Socialists set up an execution site for deserters and so-called "Wehrkraftzersetzer" in the Murellenberge. An art installation is a memorial to the murdered. All in all, a wonderful hike in the centre of the city.
